Wiggle Rig - Ever used it? Looks like it just might work

I'll be honest I was really impressed with the action that gave the fluke and some of those worms. I almost bit one through the computer screen. Anyone actually tired these yet?

Yep That's what it is, It's a specially engineered bungee, and it works better than the video shows, the site has a money back, if you don't like it, and you don't even have to send it back.

I've caught a few fish with it,, somewhere around 4,000 fish, but I'm the guy who invented it :-) I'm the expert about how to fish it, but Bill Dance tells me he's better with it, I guess we will see soon which one of is

Well, I just ordered the set of 4 with the extra bungees for $6. With shipping included, I figured that is a pretty good deal and worth the investment. Heck, that is a small investment.

Rdl.....I really like fishing Texas rigged worms, and I noticed that this shows that you can do it that way. Any tips on doing it that way? As in how to specifically rig it? It appears that you just attach it to your line and let it slide like a bullet weight you would normally use. Or do you put a clamp weight near the hook, so the swivel does not bang against the hook/knot?

Slide the material lock swivel on your line, then you can slide an "optional" bead, then just tie your hook on the end of the line.

Now when fishing it this way, when you would normally pause your retrieve, and just let your worm sit there totally un moving . Now you can put a totally natural wiggle into your worm,, just like a "real" worm siting on the bottom. To do this just keep tension on your line, and a slow rod tip bounce,, practice where you can see what rod tip action does what action to your lure, so you know what it's doing when you can't see it.

Remember this rig "does nothing" to your lures, it "allows" you to do nearly anything with them , even when they are sitting in one spot. With practice you can come up with an action that will make any fish hit,, even one that has total lock jaw, to everything else. There are a thousand different actions on a thousand different lures, but now that is totally in your control.

One thing it won't do, is catch fish, when they are not there.

My grandaddy used this application in th 1960's, he purchased invisible elastic thread from a local hobby shop (used in magic acts) although I've used sewing elastic thread for the same application with good results. I've even gone so far as using dyes to change the thread color (not sure that made much difference on strike ratios) . It typically comes in 10-30 yrd spools, selling for $1.00-$3.00 depending on the diameter thread you want. That will last you several seasons given short "shock line", as Papaw used to call it, used.
Not to throw mud on the advertised product, but it's been out there for some time and is pretty cheap to obtain.

Well call me interested for sure. At the price its almost worth trying. I mean what is the investment $6? Thats the price of a bag of worms, and that $6 includes shipping not that big of deal for the potential.

Not worms, it is a pack of 4 cylinder weights, with 14 special stretchy material string doo dads. Haha. So obviously they come with 10 spare stretchy strings, along with instructions on how to rig them. I'd say they are worth 6$, but hey i havent got to use them yet so i dont know.

I think he was saying that the cost was about like buying a bag of worms. But anyway, I got mine pretty fast, but have only used them once. Did not get any hits, but that may be because I am kind of still learning how to fish with it.

I switched back to my Texas rig and caught some that day, but like I said, I am still learning how to fish it. In particular, I have never tried the drop shot before, and the weight on the end of the wiggle rig was a lot heavier than what I am used to when Texas rigging, so I think that was throwing me off a bit. I am definitely going to try it again, prob this week, and may go to a lighter weight that I am a little bit more used to (if that works for a drop shot).

I got mine and gave them shot last weekend. I like the action on it and I am still getting used to working it. I think it could prove to be very effective.....but I havent had any luck so far. BUT, I dont think the area I was fishing was well suited for this rig. Once I get in the right situation, I will post my results.....hopefully with some pics.

you can shake the worm...whatever your using too much. it looks unnatural to me. it may work better in muddy water where the bass cant see as well. if you dont shake it too much it will most likely work. but you can just use a regular rig for that. good luck to you all.
