Default Day or night?

I have been told that catfish eat at night and thats when there most active.Do they still eat in the day?

Yes, they still eat in the day. I have caught many a cat during daytime hours.....but I prefer to fish for them at night.

I saw an episode of North American Fisherman where they were catching monster cats from noon to 4 pm. He spoke about how they are just as active during the day as they are at night.

I was on the Warrior river this weekend and they were rolling on stuff right next to the boat all day long.

yes they bite very well in the day time though they will be much deeper. at night the come shallow..
