Went Fishin'

Well I decided to walk on down to a little pond near my house to see what I could catch, didnt expect much as these ponds arent very deep and all I see is carp and turtles swimming around in them. I wouldnt think there were bass at all in them If my friend and I hadnt both caught 1 before outta it, under a pound each. Well anyways I had nothing else to do so I fugured at the very least I would work in the new Powerpro I just spooled up, switched from 20lb to 30lb. About 30 minutes in I caught a nice little bass, [see picture below] he was maybe a pound, but gave a nice little fight, on a weighted 5" Tiki Stik in sweet potato pie. After that I proceeded to catch squat, saw 2 ducks fly right over me, couldnt identify them... either wood ducks or mergasers. Anyways after another 30 minutes of catching nothing and gettin eatin up by skeeters I decided to go on home.



Note: the bass was only on the ground for a few seconds at most, only way I could take a good shot since I was alone and only had my phone. He swam off with a passion and gave me a splash to say goodbye.
