Fished out of Hole in the Wall and ran down to Trappe Light House but winds picked up and we retreated to the Northern Neck Reef. Porposies and birds alerted us to Macs and blues one mile south of reef and we set up with two anchor hooks. Wind Northeast and tide south made for some sideways fishing. Setup a chum slick and chunked some bait out the always changing back side. Shark was the target and we got about six in the first hour before the wind kicked up 5 knots more. Biggest was about 4 feet with those sweet dusty blue eyes.. Two more rays and the seas where just to much.
Fished the Gywnns Island Bridge for flounder bait and scored big with six small blues. Headed to secret flounder spot and nailed 12 each under 18 inch flounder in two hours.. Shoot only 1/2 inch short.. Bam new comers rod goes down with a 65 lb skate. 45 minutes later we set another drift and score zero.. Head for the barn. Capt Mike
