Default Dickssportinggoods: lots of sales.

Just a FYI, the dicks sporting goods by me(cherry hill new jersey), has a bunch of products on sale.

First and most important: The entire line of gary yamamoto products are 20% off, with the 5inch senko for 5.99 coming up 4.79, which is about the price they charge for the yum dingers. I am going to go back and pick up more next week when i get paid. The sale is from 9/9-9/29.

Secondly, I've never fished crankbaits before but i decided last night i wanted to try them. Dick's is also running a sale on random crank baits and other hard baits, for 50% off, so i picked up a few random pieces including a ratt-L-trap, etc, one being as cheap as 85 cents and the others averaging 2 bucks a pop.

Third, they have the shimano sedonna reels(blister pack) on sale for 39 bucks which is a decent price for a decent spinning reel(balanced rotor, ARB bearings, fluid-drive, aluminium spool+extra spool. They also had the Sahara for 39 bucks as well, but after needing the manager to override the price from 59.99, they may be removing the sale tag from those reels.

Just thought i'd throw that info out there. I am usually not a fan of these big box stores, but Dick's has run some good sales the last few weeks including the 2 for 10 bucks gulp sale the other week with 5 dollar mail in rebate, making those amazing gulp shrimp for you salt water guys 2 for 5 dollars, and 20% off zoom products last week.

I did pick one up for 39 bucks. I couldn't resist seeing how i couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else(got the dicks 4.99 1yr warrenty as well). I picked up a 4000 which is alittle big for freshwater fishing in this area (NJ) and is alittle heavier than i'd prefer for bassin', but I use my rods and reels for salt as well. My equipment needs to be multi-purpose as i am a college student with limited budget.

Speaking of 2" senkos... A while back I either purchased or recieved these senko type stik baits, they were like 3 or 4 inches and came in a relatively hard plastic box[like hooks would come in, only larger in size], with some kinda attractant or what not on them, not soaked in just kinda like a slimy covering. I dont know the name of them anymore, but they were killer and slayed bass all the time. There had to be 20+ in a pack, and werent more than $2. I hate when I get reminded of an awesome bait but dont know what they are called or where to get them, such a bummer.

Cherry Hill is considerably farther north than Monmouth. I use to run ALL OVER Jersey.

sometimes that can be as elusive as chasing bass at mid day during a summer heat wave.
