Well the boat is officially ripped down to the aluminum. Carpets gone, decking is gone (rotten as hell), wiring is all unhooked and labeled, side console disconnected. Giving my 20 year old boat a facelift. First- re running the wiring for TM, front depth flasher, hydraulic tilt, lights and maybe even a new radio. 2nd- installing new decking- front fishing deck is being extended by 3 1/2 feet, back deck staying the same just adding new access hatch. 3rd-new livewell- just ordered 37" long, 17.5" wide, 10" deep. Old livewell is still in place- gonna insulate it and have permanent cooler. Haven't decided if carpet is going back on. Lately the floor has been covered in foam. The interlocking squares are actually easy to work with and give me some nice padding. Due to the new livewell, the TM batteries are being moved to opposite side- hopefully counterbalance the new weight distribution. Also w/ this more weight will be located in the center of boat, except for the engine obviously. Will attempt some pictures as I get going.
