Default We have had snow and Im still pulling ticks off me

We have had a half inch of snow and there has been frost every moring for the past 3 weeks. Last night it stayed in the 40's though. I guess i got it when i was checking my traps this morning. Which by the way a coyote pulled the stake and all with one of my traps last night and another set a coyote was a half inch away from stepping on the pan of another trap. I was just shocked to see a tick crawling up my arm in this weather. It looked fresh too it didnt look fat like they do when they are done eating.

It's raining here, We did have an inch of snow Saturday morning, but it melted off by noon.We got alot Coyotes, but there's worst things. We've got this stupid black bear coming raiding the birdfeeders and dog dishes. My 2 labs are both 12 years old now, they got plenty of running room, 60 foot of cable trolly with a 20 foot chain off the trolly wheels, they're smart enough not to pitch into the bear, but I still fear that bear is gonna hurt one of them, before he goes in hibernation. On the other side of the river , you can legally hunt bear starting this coming saturday when gun season opens up, but not where I live. yeah i was pretty pissed off about the coyote. Its my fault though I knew there were a lot of coyotes around and I didnt double stake that set but I did every other one. Does anyone know how the cable stakes hold up to a coyote?

they don't... always use chain it has more give.. besides a yote in a trap with cable stakes will tie them into a french knot..-they kinda go nuts..
