Marylou is one super nice person, who retired from civil service and does this as a primary source of income. Every rod is made with tender loving care. Here is a picture of a rod she made for me:

The rod is a 7' 6" Medium Action rod, 11 guides, 11" handle and 3 1/2" fore grip, Fuji reel seat with exposed rod touch. The blank is extremely light and sensitive. I use it primarily for C-rigging and boated bass up to 9 pounds with no problem. She named the rod "Bob's Big Stick" LOL

I'm thinking about getting a custom rod in the near future.

I am also interested in eventually making rods for myself as a hobby to keep me busy over the long winter. That and painting my own crankbaits, topwaters, etc.

On an unrelated topic, I was trying to send you a PM but it says you are not accepting them. What I wanted to ask is what brand and size cylinder weights you use for dropshotting? Also, what are the advantages over other shape weights?

I didn't mean to hijack your topic, but I have you to myself here and thought I would pick your brain as you obviously know what you're talking about when it comes to dropshotting. Thanks in advance Bob!
