Talking Online Any Bass tournament

I was thinking how cool it would be to have an any type bass online tournament. That'z right Stripers, Hybrids, White bass, spotted bass, Small mouth and yes large mouth. hell even Seabass. All types of bass would be recognized. Now some of these fish are way bigger than others i understand. So what i'm thinking of instead of the largest fish. We would recognize total weight. You would have from Feb 15 until Aug 31. The person with highest weight of fish at the end would win. I'll fork over the prize myself. Not yet to be determined. Proably some type of lures of some kind. We would make history this would be the 1st any type bass tournament ever. But if you want to be part of this you would have to let me know. No later than Feb. 15. Also every fish submitted would have to have it's picture tooken giving it's total weight and you would be limited to submitting 1 big fish a week. The prizes would be on me. But before we could do this. I would like Kevins blessing to run this contest on his site before it would take place. We would also keep every thing to this one thread.

Example(Maybe John Doe does catch a 15 pound striper & it puts him in 1st place. But if he does'nt post another fish say for a month. He could proably be knocked out of first place by a guy who caught a bunch of large mouth). This would be cool you won't see that on Bassmasters or FLW.

Hang around, Moose-we have had several forum tourneys. Once the yankee water goes from hard to soft we'll probably have another.

bullwinkle...not a bad idea but i don't see it working. your example says a guy could catch a 15# striper, but then blank for a month? i don't see that happening too often. i mean he could just weight in 3lbers every week and still be tough to catch up with for a guy catching only black bass.

Now, JB, I like the yankee race. Especially when they stay where yankees belong.

Seriously, once we have everybody capable of fishing(no ice) we'll probably have another forum tourney. We do limit it to largemouth, smalmouth, spotted bass to keep it fair with a prize for each category. That way the northern guys don't have to compete with the southern guys for LM-Lizards won the last one with an 11 lb florida toad-and the southern guys aren't out of the game if they don't have smallies in their area.

Look this would'nt be a Bassfihin.com sponsor tourney. This would be somthing done on the side. I will fork over the prizes. It's the total weight at the end of the tournament that would be the deciding factor. Not what type of fish your fishing for. Call it Hienz57 fishing. There would be a first place prize only. No second or thirds. I'm going forward with the idea. If you want to be apart of it send me a PM. You have until Feb15 to do so. You have nothing to loose to be apart of this and get some free new lures in exchange by me.

You know your right. But that would be up to you. That would depend on what you want to chase. If you want to catch the little guy's while everbody else is going after the big guy's. Then that would be your decision. That's what makes this so cool. Many lakes & Rivers do have Hybrids. If you don't live where you can catch a Striper.

Moose, It is a cool idea, I think logistically it would be tough for a guy like me to compete. A great largemouth where I live is 5-6lbs and a great smallie is 3lbs.... No other bass to speak of in hailing distance...

Seriously though, a good idea for guys with a lot of species and larger fish available to them!

Good thought; but the concept was a little far-fetched. Catch a 15 lb. Striper, then blank on LM's for a month? I sure as hell hope not!

Good try though!
