ya don't fix it just remove the tip and put on a repair tip use super glue or epoxy. but it will not be the same rod. i use my busted and repaired rod as a pitching stick cause at only 6' it is a pool cue.

yesterday I also broke mine but just the metal guide on the top broke off with part of the rod still stuck up in there. Even if I can get the part of the rod out of the guide it still won't fit on the top of a tip. Should i just find a bigger tip and glue it on.

Buy a repair kit and fix it. Like Zook said though, the action is going to be different when all is said and done. 8)

You will be able to save the original tip, and you wont alter the action much by doing the following.
Take the broken off 3" section to a Hobby Shop and buy a piece of steel piano wire that will fit snugly into the broken off 3" section. Also buy some 30 minute Epoxy at the same shop, if you don't already have some. When you get home, snip off a 6" piece of the piano wire, and roughen up the surface with sand paper. Wipe the 6" piece off with alcohol. Now mix up a portion of the 30 minute epoxy as directed on the tube, and using the piano wire, swab it down into the tubular sections of the rod in each direction. You are going to create am internal splint. When each section has adequate epoxy, slide the wire into the 3" section first, and then holding the rod up side down, ( you might want to hang the handle from the ceiling here ), slide the remaining 3" section of piano wire up into the main section of the rod. ( If the rod was upright, the wire would drop down into the main section and be lost. This is why you hang the rod inverted. ) Wipe off any excess epoxy with alcohol, line up the guides, and use a small piece of masking tape to hold the sections in place together for at least 12 hours, or overnight. In the morning remove the tape, string it up, and try it out. If you got a good 50/50 epoxy mix, it should be good as new ! > Jim |

OK! That sounds better than anything else. You should submit that to some mags. Sounds as if you have done that one or two times. 8)
