Default Had a good day

My brother and I fished a big pond yesterday and did pretty good. We only caught 3 bass but loaded up on the Crappie. Took them home and fried them up for the Super Bowl!

The water was cold. My depth finder wasn't working so I don't know what the temp was but the pond had ice on it a few days ago so it was cold. The 3 bass I caught were on a Clown colored Suspending Rogue. I love jerkbaits this time of year but you have to fish them a little slower than normal. I don't jerk it real quick when it's cold. Just pull it a couple feet and let it sit. The fish were in 4'-6' of water on a flat (near deep water). No big ones but they were fat and healthy. They were so cold they really didn't put up a fight. It's suppose to be in the 70's here this week so maybe I can get a day off and go catch some big uns!
