Default Cabela's -- 2/09/08

Well, Guys, I'm going to Cabela's this weekend and I need some ideas. I'm mainly going to buy some "natural" colored spinnerbaits and Gulp! Shaky Worms. Do you have any reccommendations as to good brands of spinnerbaits? I'm looking at 3/8 oz. and 1/2 oz.

Terminator's. You never have to tune them from the first cast till you lose it.

I looked at the Terminators @ Tackle Warehouse and I really like their color schemes. I tryed to order some off the Internet with Dad, but Mom caught us and said I can't order anymore tackle off the Web until I get back from Alaska in late June. Dang!

the only problem i have with terminators is i like to tune my spinnerbaits how i want them. with terminators they will always be just like they were when they came out of the package. other than that they are good spinnerbaits.

Thats why I am a big fan of the Strike King stuff. I also use a guy who makes custom spinnerbaits. His stuff is really good, all high quality components on his baits.

If you can find any Stranley wedge bleeding spot with willow blades the SM love them in clear water. Fish2win

What colors would you reccommend for clear water?

Booyah, Terminator, War Eagle, Stirke King... I use a lot of spinnerbaits Try some sort of silvery color or white for clear water. You could also try some watermelon colors and stuff like that. I like the Strike King Cochran's 'Lil Money, Booyah Counterstrike, and Terminator Custom Tungsten Series. The Terminators are really expensive(like $10.00 each) but they're great. Try the Skeet Reese one for clear water.

Hey Carolina Rig,

Other than making sure the hook and the wire part of the bait are aligned straight, what else is there to do with tuning a spinnerbait? JW Dave..

Lunker, I prefer white skirts with gold blades. Sometimes white with silver blades. And on cloudy days, white/chartruese with gold blades works well. That about all you'll find in my tackle. They've worked for me in any type of water I've ever fished. Even at night.

Do you reccommend one color over the other while night fishing?
