If you had to choose a rod, (length and strength) for each of the following what would it be?

Didn't we just do this? Anyways, here we go:
Cranks: 6'6" M Spinnerbaits: 7' MH Texas: 6'6" MH Carolina: 7' H Weightless: 6'6: MH as long as you got a good reel (BPS Extremes cast light lures rreal well.) Pitch/flip: 7'- 7'6" H |

Shallow cranks - 6 M
Deeper cranks - 6'6" MH Texas - 6'6" MH Carolina - 6'6" MH Weightless - 6'6" MH (or spinning...depending) Pitch/Flip - 6'6" MH Spinnerbaits - 6'6" M Can you tell I like 6'6" MH?????????? It's all in personal preference. I can't bring myself to use a 7' rod. Being 6'4", another 7' above that would be like reaching to the fishing gods hoping to find the fish. (and besides, 7' don't fit so well in the rod locker - that's a whole lot of rod to pull out of the tube - it screams to me......"BREAK ME" ![]() -Bob |

Good point on the rod locker, Bob-I put mine on the side closest to the center of the boat and don't have too much trouble, but I am careful after breaking a 6-6 by having the lid to the rod box fall on it.

I have a 7' PNJ rod, but that's it, doubt I'll buy another one. Plus I really don't care to pitch and flip, just not much to it that appeals to me. So I rarely do it, and definately prefer a spinning reel for any weightless plastics. Lizards |
