Well, until yesterday, this was the only bass forum I belonged to. But I joined a couple others to see if I could get some different answers for some of my questions. There were a few guys who must've had an Ugly Stik up their arse.

I can honestly say that this is by far the best fishing forum (bass fishing, that is) that I've seen.

I couldn't agree with you more, man. Some of those other sites could be good except they went and let a few fools run all over folks just tryin' to enjoy our great sport. Maybe they're compensating for something...? Anyway, what other site has C-Bird's sign offs? How can they beat that stuff? Ain't nobody got nothin' on BF.com.

That comes from our super veterans, you know who they are, that patiently answer repetitive questions and offer everyone a genuine hello... This is a great place to kill time and to learn. When I first joined about a year ago I thought I was asking good questions.... Now i realize how a was repeating questions that had already been asked many times. No one ever gave me a hard time and every question was answered.

Yup, these guys are all right!

I agree . I belong to several and moderate one. The one I moderate is a local area board here in East Tennessee. The others are either full of pranksters or jerks. Most everyone here is resepectful one to the other.Fish2win

the way i see it, just recalling some things I've learned in the past and being able to pass it on to others keeps my own skills tuned...I think about it next time I'm on the water and try to apply it to that days thinking.

i am on about 15 differant boards every night. i mod at 3 of them.. i tend to keep this board open most of the time.-this explains the post count don't it- there is alot or morons out there. but i don't just like this site i like MOST of the people on it..i in fact call quite a few members on this board.-the blackmans need to BUY an answering machine btw-

don't worry about the repeated questions-i'll only answer the same question ONCE per person-

I'm on a lot of different boards, too, but like Zooker I spend most of my time here. Why? Same reason-I like the people that I have "met" and become buddies with here. the idiots either don't find this one or don't stay, and I'd fish with any of the regulars here.

I don't mind answering the same questions over and over. Usually they are good, honest questions that someone genuinely wants to know.

You know its like anything, a team or a business, some get good, positive cultures and some get bad ones. This board just happens to have a pretty positive, although realistic and not too serious culture.

I belong to more boards than I should and moderate on the Texas Fishing Forum, which I am partial to due to it's size and the amount of information generated on it. It's been a very good board over the years. This one is one of most recent ones and has quickly become an open Tab on IE when the computer is on. I love the watching the young folks on here and helping folks who are sincerely wanting to learn about bass-fishing. I also appreciate the "respect" that the members have on this forum. It is small enough that the personalities are easy to recognize in a short amount of time and that adds to the pleasure.

There are a bunch of boards that I simply don't post on at all, but check every now and then. I will not belong to a board where folks are constantly on the attack and must admit that there are times on the Texas Fishing Forum that it tests the very depths of moderation skills (by and large it is still a very good board!).

The only stupid question is one that wasn't asked. Even though it might have been asked before there are new members showing up all of the time adding another opinion which is good.I never quit learning something new every time I visit this place. The people here are the greatest bunch you could ask for.It amazes me how quicky the younger people are learning, I never had the opportunity of anything like this when I started.I always thought you needed time out on the water to become good but I might have been wrong for sharing knowledge is a very positive and extremely powerful tool to be a part of.A person who think they know everything are only fooling themselves for a group of people will continue to learn more as a group than you ever will as an individual. In this site I feel I'm talking to real fishermen. Other sites I've been at don't seem so friendly. I may be wrong but I get the since I'm talking to a wanna be. Not a real fisherman. Here the people seem very passionate about the sport. As far as repeat questions are concerned, I don't care. I'll answer them. There repeat to us but new to the new people.
