After watching the World News last night, I caught a few words of the story covering the issues between Merc. Corporation and a hospital of which the name escapes me.

Anyway, this hospital supposedly was giving out Pepcid to patients with prescriptions for other heartburn medicines. They had a certain word for this method of ''switching'' prescriptions, but it too escapes my mind. The main character of the story, a man of which was given Pepcid instead of his doctor-written prescription, had something happen to him, and eventually found out that he was given Pepcid instead of his prescription. This in turn led to him sueing and the whole truth came out.

The reason this hospital was giving out Pepcid was because of a sort of "deal" on its price. Since 80% of this hospitals patients were taking/getting Pepcid from this hopital, Merc Corporation was giving them a discount, per se, on mass quantities of Pepcid and Merc. Products. Just for a discount, this hospital was switching prescriptions. All back to the point of money.

Personally, I think it's just too damn sad to see a hospital, yes, an actual hospital, not doing the job it's supposed to - serve its patients.

What is America coming to?

We don't need to worry about the terrorists half way around the world. We
meaning our society is its own worst enemy. In the time our troops have been
in Iraq just think how many of our own citizens have been killed by our own citizens. It isn't even safe to go night fishing in some places because of robbers and truck looters. The people that are trying to keep us safe from
terrorists need to clean up our own society first. Sorry to get carried away about this but things are getting worse in all areas of our society. In the meantime KEEP FISHING!

Theres corruption everywhere. Not only hospitals. I'm sure you could dig up a story about any type of profession and find out tons about corruption in that feild. Also, remember that media distorts things.
