Well let's hope that tomorrow's fishing goes better than today's. We got on the lake later than planned, but we were still fishing by 0900 or so. Fished Evan's Creek area until about 11:30 or so and only picked up 2 fish. One of them was just over 4 and the other was small, but a keeper. There were boats all up and down the creek, but nobody seemed to be doing well. We caught the bigger fish in about 8 feet of water and the smaller in about 3 feet. Everything we thought would work, like pitching to the willow stumps, didn't. Both of our fish came on what were essentially bad casts that the wind blew well away from their targets. The water is clear and you can see the bottom in about 12 feet of water. Haven't found any hydrilla, but I won't stop looking....
Tomorrow's forecast is for sunny skies and winds 20-30 from the SE. I am sure the lake will get ugly pretty quick. I post again on Monday, hopefully with better news. Steve

Good luck Nitro. Maybe we should all try casting away from where we want to lure to be every now and then.
