I was in a LandBigFish store Saturday looking at baits and there was a bunch of guys in the back of the store organizing their club for the season. It made me wonder, since I'm new to the forum, how many of you guys are club members and at what level do you fish?
I'm sure there are quite a few and that some have had great success. I guess I just would like to know who has had success and whether you are local members or at a higher level. Thanks for any response. BF |

i am not a club member. realy don't have time for a club right now. maybe in a year or so. never been in a club either. courious about it though. as far a what level i am....well..........i USED to think iwas pretty good. that is till i came on this site. now i feel like a preschooler, hahaha. i couldn't tell you what kind of hook i have now. there is alot of things i really didn't know. like i have been reading about different rods and reels for different baits. heck i always used one kind of rod, different lengths, but one rod. a medium/heavy action graphite. now i see why i have been missing all kinds of fish. gotta get some more rods now. i think my reels are okay. just change rods, action wise. i have recently gotten the march issue of bassin. and there is an article insightful. on this very thing. very insightful.

Anybody from Ohio is just genetically a good angler. It is a simple and universal truth...

Pig,
I know something about the grace of God but I,m still stuck in Ohio. Fortunately I only live 25 minutes from what some think is the best bass lake in the state. There are alot of Buckeys in the south but I forgive them. Good fishing to you. BF |

i am in a club. our club is mostly bragging rights with a few small side bets here and there like for big bass and things like that. i do fish some money tournaments but i really like the friendships that you can make through a friendly club.

I don't fish in a club but do fish a couple tournament series. My brother and I will be fishing the Fishers of Men Tournament Trail again this year. We are in the Virginia East division. We won the division points title back in 2004. We also fish the Castaways Series which is a local deal with all 5 tournaments on the James River. They have a points title and a Classic. The tournaments average 120 teams per event. We finished 17th in the points last year and finished 6th in the Classic in 2006. Both are a lot of fun and I can't wait to get started!! March 29th is my first tx with FOMTT.

I'm in a money club, we have 15 boats and most show up at each tournament, but I do a lot of the open circuits and even plan on fishing on Lake Champlain in a Bassmaster weekend this year...my favorite tourney is the Special Olympics open that usually gets about 70 boats for a 1-day event that includes tagged fish for prizes that range from boats & trucks to trolling motors...
