Default Miami Peacock Bass & Florida Everglades report 5-2-08

It's been a great week of fishing for us in Ft. Lauderdale. Peacock bass fishing in Miami twice this week produced 64 fish to 6 lbs. A 6 lb. butterfly peacock is quite a trophy. We also fished the Everglades off of alligator alley and there were plenty of gators all around. When the alligators are out so usually are the bass and so they were! How about 170 or more with plenty missed and caught up to 6 lbs. I can't believe I'm having this much fun!

Swimbaits have been used by a few guys and of course I have some but won't use them until water levels will get me enough bites to feel confident using them.
