Default Lake Hudson 5-10-08

We got there at about 9:00, later than I wanted, but oh well. We started out fishing buzzie's "secret lure" SPINNERBAITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing ffor a while then my dad catches one a little over 12" (released without picture.) He threw his spinnerbait back to the same spot to show me were he caught it and bang, another one! the fish seemed to swin down until he completely cleared the water! then he did it again and once more before he threw the hook! What a show! This fish was a pig, 6lb+. My dad continued to catch another one a bit over 14" form the same spot before the bite died and we moved.

We fished some more and decided to move acorss the lake to a different shore. We fished along it for a while and still nothing. Then we came a a couple of laydowns. As soon I got the boat so we could cast parallel to them, I got one on my first cast to it. After that, nothing. We fished for a while more and enjoyed nature (including many birds, turtles, and such.) we also saw a baby tutle about as ig around as a can of pop, which moved befor eI could get a picture.

At about 4:30 we decided to pack up and go home. On the way back tot he ramp we saw some smoke over the trees which didn't look too far away, and after we left, about a mile up the road, a barn had burnt down. But we were greeted with this surprise at the boat ramp.

Since there are no fire hydrants, they pump water form the lake.

We sat there for an hour with two boats waiting to leave in front of us and two waiting to leave behind us, not to mention the guy waiting to put his boat in.

he threw the hook on his thrid jump: was a great show though. I had to teach my dad the shove the rop in the water and crank like a maniac trick. It was really awesome to watch this thing clear the water though.

That sucks... I guess thats why we go back though, right?

Sounds like a nice day though. Did you hit the back bay on the SW corner of the lake?

That ones mine, all the baitcaster in the boat are mine, my dad is still looking. That would be an Abu C3 ona 7'6" XH rod for Musky. we figured we'd bring it a long just in case.

We started working on my flipping stick tonight and have og tthree guides wrapped already. Can't wait to get it done.
