Default Yellow River

Well, I went out this weekend in the Yellow River here and had almost no luck. I did get out there kind of late, but I would have expected at least a bass or two for 6 hours worth of fishing. The only thing I caught all day was a 4ft grass carp that hit (of all things) a spinner bait. It was pretty entertaining for getting him on 10lb test, but something to eat would have been nicer. Talked to some guys at the launch and they said big inline spinners and hot n tots and the like thrown real early in the morning....We'll give it a shot next time. I'm not sure when it will be though, it's starting to get too shallow for my boat right now.
