I have not had the time to fish it just yet. I tried for about 15 minutes after work last night but that is hardly worth mentioning.
I did notice that they are a lot lighter than other baits that size. They come in 3", 4", 5", 7" and 9" (7" and 9" sizes are if you order the big game additional package, which I did). I plan on using the heaviest set of eyes with the minnows. It does swim better than anything I have ever used and I am a huge fluke fan. I don't particularly like the rubberbands that you use to make them weedless but if they work then so be it. I will have more information this weekend (maybe) but definitely next weekend (scheduled camping and fishing trip). |

atcually yes. the bass hit it like cazy and what surprised me was that crappie hit it too. it is unlike any other lure and it is exactly like what they say.

We used to use these when we were kids...the first time they came out. We were out fishing and one of our friends said "Check this out! I got it off the TV. They were catching all kinds of fish with these things!" We proceeded to laugh and make fun of him assuming that they were one of the lures designed to catch fishermen and not fish. Sure enough though, he started catching more fish than us and it wasn't too long before we all had some. Mostly we caught bass and crappie on them. I even got my dad to try them out, he had the most luck with them for crappie. I had all but forgotten them and just the other day one of my old friends called and we were just BS'ing when he asked me "Hey, did you know they came back out with the banjo minnow?" I hadn't and he said he ordered some and would let me know if they still work. I haven't heard back yet, but I assume they are still just as good as they were before.

I agree with that comment....and it looks like PondSkipper is a kid. Banjo minnow will catch bass. But so will a bare hook with yarn attached to it. i think it is a gimmick BUT like all gimmicks they do have a time and a place. |
