Blonde vs. Brunette

This ditzy blonde is walking to town one day, and looks up to see a brunette walking straight down the middle of the road. Every step the brunette takes, she's slapping herself on the side of the head and saying "Fourteen, fourteen, fourteen..." over and over again, hitting herself every step.
The blonde walks up to her and asks her what she's doing, but the brunette ignores her completely. "Fourteen, fourteen, fourteen..." on she goes.
After trying several times to get her attention, the blonde figures when in Rome, do as the Romans do. So, she gets behind the brunette, and starts the same thing. Step, slap, "Fourteen." Step, slap, "Fourteen." Step, slap, "Fourteen."
Suddenly, a big 18-wheeler comes flying over the hill, barreling straight down at them. Wisely, the brunette dives out of the way to safety on the side of the road.
But the blonde is too caught up in the rhythm, and fails to move.
WHAM!!!! The 18-wheeler runs right over her, sending her flying.
The brunette gets up, dusts herself off, grins, and gets back on the road.
"Fifteen, fifteen, fifteen...."
