I can't remember if this is a topic that has been talked about or not, but I apologize in advance if it has. When I have put braided line on my reels before, but after about the first two casts, they always knot up...how can I help prevent this, so I don't get things screwed up on my first tourney?

TRAV,
Cut that crap you are using off your reels and spool them with Power Pro. That should solve your problem. JackL |

I agree w/ that. I still get tangled up now and then but usually its something I did. Switched to powerpro a few months ago and havent even considered changing. 8)

Trav, I use PowerPro, too. That still happens on occasion. What occurs is when you are reeling it in and have some tension on the line it can dig into the spool. When this happens all you need to do is pull off some of the line like you do with a backlash and reel it back on. That ought to take care of the problem.

It is not quite as limp as Spiderwire so it doesn't get all tangled up on the rod tip, and it is round where Spiderwire is flat which means it Â*digs into itself a lot easier than PowerPro does causing the kinds of problems you describe. Â*I've used both and like PowerPro much better.
