Father and three sons learned to cast, retrieve and catch a few fish.. Nothing big but these are the first LGMouth they have ever caught.
I managed not to get hooked by dodging, ducking and a wire brim hat.. Good kids and now they have a fishing habit.. Capt Mike

It's alway cool to see first time bass fisherman not come away empty handed and I could just picture you dodging lures left and right .

CaptMike, just out of curiousity, did you ever get hooked during one of your guided trips?

Yes jump fishing in Washington Channel. Got a 1/2 once rattletrap embedded in the back of my neck. Both sets of hooks deep. Cut the o-rings and numbed the area with a topical. Taped down and finished the day with clients. Went to hospital that evening to get them out.
To this very day I am rattletrap shy and flinch from the sound. Capt Mike

Yeah, I think that experience would make me flinch also. Trebles are scary. I once embedded a Rico topwater in my leg (a snag came out and the lure launched back at me, landed in my leg) |
