Right now tube baits are hot on my lakes and they are hitting them better than anything else so they are my favorite now.

Well,
i will chunk out any type of senko or senko knockoff. Im really starting to become a tiki believer! But, I will not hesitate to throw a wooly hog tail or hog craw. |

Sometimes baits other than senkos are best and often times big tournaments this time of the year are won on more power techniques and on jigs and big worms.

fishie,
when i chunk a jig, which i do alot any more, i target specific cover or terrain(examples- rocks, stumps, brush, overhanging trees.) Ill trhow a spinner bait alot too. I chunk it out on flats, or near logs or whatever subsurface. I will use crankbaits ocassionally, as a search bait,(i.e- feeling the bottom for structure, rocks ,flats or what not). But most catches come of senkos or senko knock offs |

Thats not bad to use those kind of baits to find fish and then slow down afterward. The fish in my lakes however do not kill spinnerbaits maybe because they have seen so many and are wary. A tube is a bait that a lot of the average joes don't fish with.Plus it has a eratic action that triggers strikes. When I fish it can take me about 35 minutes to figure out what the fish want and I might not catch or get a single hit in that time or find them but on my small lakes after that I usually hit on something. Powerbass don't use jigs just for structure because thats the norm for a lot of people you also want to try swimming them and I have caught lots of fish on days by swimming jigs and pumping they back or around cover. My favorite jig colors are black and blue and black with red flake. A black with cheartruse underside trailor use to kill the big bass on my lakes.

clay,
it depends on the situation at hand. I will occasinally throw a rapala j-7 or j-5 floating balsa crankbait, once again, just to feel the bottom. |

I am almost seventeen now and I have been fishing since I was three. I have been fishing for bass only since I was 8 years old and I learned to use a baitcaster at 8 and a half. I have only fished for bass and trout a couple of times a year since I was eight. I do not fish every day like I use to between when I was 12 to 14. I use to fish every day all day in the summer for like 7 to 8 hours a day. I fished so much I had a sore arms and overuse injuries. You could say I was crazy about bass fishing. I have settled down a little bit since then.

NJ do you got a problem with me because I know a lot and you can't stand it. I don't know about you but I am on summer vacation and I don't know what the hell you like to do at 9 in the morning. I got a couple of baseball games to go to today so I am just chilling to go to them.
Sorry that you can't stand it that I am posting on here but instead of writing about people all the time maybe you should write about fishing or not say anything at all. |

Powerbass,
They should hit tubes in your lake. Fish them in the same colors as the jigs and do not peg the weight. You should be able to catch them up. |

There is no single lure for me. I'm always trying to use new things and fish new lures. My goal by the end of the year is to master the crank and the c-rig.
