Angry For the record

I would prefer to hook myself (again) through the thumb then to wrap presents. The only reason I shop at the mall is because I can get wrapping there. I say this as I am trying to figure out how in the h&** to wrap a new lacrosse stick for my son in a manner that does not look like a new friggen lacrosse stick.

Put it in a trolling motor box. It will look like a new trolling motor.

Cass,

Try adding some shape-changing item(s), perhaps taping them, or using string, to the stick. You might use smaller gift items or just cardboard cut and folded to form various shapes. I've done this a *few times but be warned that if Cass Junior is expecting a lacrosse stick and all he sees under the tree is a package that in no way resembles a lacrosse stick you may be subjected to surly behavior during that span.

L6
*But NOT with a lacrosse stick. I've never even SEEN a lacrosse stick in person.

There are some gifts that just are'nt meant to be wrapped, for instance the Life sized Carmen Electra Doll, no matter how hard you try in wrapping it, her curves and points always give her away. So you see, at times it's appropriate to just slap a big red bow on it and say "Merry Christmas!"

Thanks guys, I guess I was more complaining at wrapping in general. The lacrosse stick (6' Defense stick) was the final straw.

Attack and middie sticks aren't too bad, just find a long box or tube and place the head in a smaller box. A defender stick only gives you a few options....
Hide the stick in a corner
Hide the stick under the couch
Hide the stick in the tree (you got a 6' tree?)

What lure is that hook on? Looks like a little after dinner mint or something with a treble hook.

I just cut it in half and figured he will be twice as surprised....LOL

I ended up wrapping a note in a box that said "if you ever decide to clean out from under your bed, you might find a surprise"

WARNING PROUD DAD MOMENT

Zook I used to agree with you about the lacrosse until my Son started playing it. He plays football too. Nose Guard and Left Tackle on the O-Line. He got into lacrosse to help stay in shape for football. He plays the role of enforcer on his team. Not only do they lower a shoulder at times to hit, he can also legally swing a 6 foot stick at the opponents stick and wrists.
Whether it is football or lacrosse, there is not much better than hearing a hit and also hearing the stands give out a collective "ooh" and being able to say "Yep, that's my boy!"

Lacrosse is a great sport, it just happens to be on the sidelines in America cause we have the big 4. Lot of football greats have played Lacrosse too, Jim Brown for one.
