Not the only reason, but one of the few.
Final day of the semester at school and exams were today. Got a bad snow/ice (mostly ice and sleet and stuff) storm last night and 98% of area schools are closed, including mine. Which means Exams are cancelled. I know it doesn't make sense that they don't reschedule them, but remember, this is the school that gets a day off for the county fair, can't spell the name of the yearbook correctly (on the yearbook), and once had a "Drive your tractor to school day" during spirit week. So after plowing the EXTREMELY heavy snow off the driveway, and having a layer of ice on my coat and hood, I have the whole day to relax. ![]() ![]() BB

BB, how much snow did you get today? We got around 8" with a lot of drifting. Fun to drive in!!

We only got snow in the wee hours of the morning. Around 4:30, it turned to freezing rain. We only got about 2-3" of snow, which now has a nice icy covering to it. Also, I could barely plow the driveway this morning cause the snow/frozen rain was so wet and heavy. It was fairly windy down here, and we normally do get some nice drifts, but since the freezing rain hardened over the snow, we don't have any.
I know a few countys here had level 2 snow emergencies, and Monroe county had a level 3. I guess ice is less fun to drive on, huh. ![]() BB
