What is your favorite bass lake you have ever fished?
(And not necessarily your home lake) Mine is Lake Guntersville. It's nearly 3 hours from where I live now but I still make the drive several times a year! Never seen anything like it. |

Lake Barrett here in San Diego. Only open to fishing from May to Sept and generates many 50 fish days.

So far, Guntersville is mine, also. We'll have to wait and see if that changes in May, though.

So far I would say that it would have to be southern Indiana's Patoka Lake, seeing that I have not fished outside of the state lines yet

I have been unable to fish the larger lakes in Alabama since I do not have a larger motor boat to get around. I have some favorites ponds but they are all private and small enough to fish from the bank. I do have a favorite river that is fed from Lay Lake. The access area is private as well but the river is public. The movement of this "creek" is controlled by the dam. This is also where I take my personal pontoon. It is called Yellow Leaf Creek.

Lake Ontario or Lake Champlain. You can catch over 100 smallmouths a day, they will wear you out to where you don't want to fish any more.

It would be hard for me not to say Lake Saint Clair. The only "bad" day I've had out there was mainly due to the weather and I have only ever had one day when I didn't catch at least a 3 pounder, and that was a half day up in the river my first time. Like Ivan said, 50-100 fish days are not uncommon the right time of year.
There are a lot of great lakes around here and many in northern Michigan that I have not explored that I'm sure are nearly as good. |

I would have to say Guntersville has been my favorite. I caught my biggest largemouth there. Actually my two biggest largemouth. Just wish VA would step it up with its fish and game and we could have a few great lakes close to us.
