Move south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Oh, you mean short-term....

Buy a bass fishing game for your computer/XBox/Playstation/whatever.

Organize all your tackle. Then if you're still bored. Dump all your bozes out into a pile and reorganize everything!

um pitch a jig inside the house for accuracy.... make sure you end up doing next to impossible task... like one time it took me over 30 minutes to land my jig on a part of the tree that Y'ed out at the base because you had to balance it perfectly or it would fall of (the landing pad was about the size of a very very small cellphone)

haha..

hmm

well,, when i get back from duck hunting i clean my gun... and my dads gun.. then i disassemble and re-assemble as quick as i can..
i have done my mossberg500 in 1:39 with my eyes closed

do that with your reel.. but do it with your eyes open ..
then go for the nascar pit crew test

re-organize your box, learn it, live it

then put it behind your back and think of a lure and reach behind you and get it

Sharpen hooks, clean cranks with toothpaste, spoons with softscrub, put in extra splitrings on crankbait hooks, (one each), take up hair jig tying....

A good read, Think Like a Fish by Tom Mann

Take up outdoor photography. Thats my other love besides fishing. It gets you back into mother nature and allows you to not only enjoy the beauty of the wild, but to also preserve it in photos.

That's a great idea there Keithdog.
One of the advantages that I have noticed during the winter month's lack of foilage is that we are given a better view of the landscape. Just a short drive south of me the hills of Southern Indiana start to roll with exposed limestone and karst features that would have been hard to find during the summer due to all the foilage blocking our view of the hillsides. If you can put up with the cold, being out in the great outdoors is a great way to break the cabin fever while the water is still hard.

While your out though just be wary of hunters.
