Default This might make you angry

In case you haven't seen, this is a new campaign from our friends at PETA. It's not that I'm worried, it's just frustrating how some people can be so misguided. Here you go:

"Whoever was in charge of creating a positive image for fish needs to go right back to working on the Britney Spears account and leave our scaly little friends alone. You've done enough damage, buddy. We've got it from here. And we're going to start by retiring the old name for good. When your name can also be used as a verb that means driving a hook through your head, it's time for a serious image makeover. And who could possibly want to put a hook through a sea kitten?"

The campaign website is: http://www.peta.org/sea_kittens/index.asp

The sea kitten campaign just makes me want to drive a hook through my cat. I wonder if that is what they intended by changing the nomenclature?

they are trying to brainwash kids into beleiveing that fish are sea kitten and they are so cute and cuddley, that they should never hurt them by sticking a hook in them. its just like barney, if you shot barney, you would have every kid that knew where you lived in your front yard ready to string you up. including some parents.

They would be better off spending their time and considerable resources focused on the real issues we face today. Their current ad campaign just goes to show you have far from reality these people have come.

Like someone said before, I think we should all send pictures of our "sea kittens" that we catch to peta HQ and see what they've got to say.

I wonder if they taste like chicken? Can you fry, blacken, mojo or grill them? The possibilities are endless. Maybe we can put milk in a bottle w/ a hook on it! Are they gonna be related as a subspecies of the cat fish? Will they run from a dog fish? I wonder if PETA would take my phone call to answer a few questions.

if we stop catching fish, half the world would starve, cause fish is there main diet. thats like telling us to stop killing our beef, pork, and chicken. then the other half would starve.

i think there would be more crime on the streets today if you couldnt hunt or fish. look at the younger kids, i would rather them be hunting and fishing, than stealing and doing drugs.

We have a super badda$$ security system at school because of PETA. If they only knew what we did to our "patients" which are goats...

"they are trying to brainwash kids into beleiveing that fish are sea kitten and they are so cute and cuddley, that they should never hurt them by sticking a hook in them"

And they are succeeding,we had to write a persuasive essay at school and one kind is writing about how all hunting should be banned.

I think that it is time these people put their money where their mouth is. As people who hunt and fish, we do more to support wildlife and habitat then they ever will. Between lic. fees, park passes, donations to local conservation clubs, and many outdoorgoods manufacturers that give money back to the cause. Not to mention all the volunteer hours that some of us may provide to local DNR and conservation groups.
I don't think I want to live in a state where the speed limit is 15MPH
because there are more deer on the road then electric cars.

Not my grandkids! They would line up to see who could get the best "grouping"! Shootfire! My 7 year old grandson would probably take a marks-a-lot and draw the target on Barney's forehead and tell everyone, "25 yards! First one to get three rounds in there moves to 50!"

I think PETA needs to concentrate more on the animal cruelty of domestic animals instead of the wildlife, if there is wildlife becoming extinct well step in but if it is a fish that there is a over abundance of they need to back off!!!!
