Default Boat Insurance

Insurance is one of the unpleasant expenses associated with fishing. The good news is that I just had what is probably the best insurance experience I have ever had, and I thought I should tell you guys about it.

In 2008 I switched my boat insurance from USAA to BoatUS and saved $185, improving my coverage as I did so. I just talked to Worldwide Marine Underwriters, and they shaved another $60+ from my premiums, again, improving my coverage.

If you are in the market for insurance for your boat (they only do boats), I highly recommend Worldwide Marine. Bob Luellen is the guy to talk to and he can be reached at 800-339-1235. It is cold in Michigan this time of year, so he isn't fishing anyway.
