either a spin reel with an old lightning rod or a revo sx on a bps extreme (6'6 m)
buckeye spot removers.... 3/8 or 1/4 most of the time zoom finesse worm slow... hop, shake, and twitch..... slower the colder or more pressured it is.... drop offs and around rock

I use a 7' M baitcaster with braid and an 8lb fluoro leader.
I like the Spot Remover or Owner's Shaky type head. pretty much any finesse worm or a 4" power worm. Also like the Power bait shakey worms. Watermelon candy or green pumpkin. Sometimes chartreuse spike-it the tail. Hop it, or shake it in place. I use it on rocky bottom or in light timber. BB
