I have heard some conflicting advice when it comes to glow in the dark lures. My question is really general because I really don't know the deal, so does any one have information or advice about these lures?

I've used them a few times. Thought maybe they would help in off colored water. I have yet to catch anything off one.

I tear up the convict bass on glow in the dark sassy shads and rattle shakies. Also I have used glow in the sand worms on c-rigs for drum and convicts. But for LGMouth not much luck.
Wacky rigged some creme glow floaters for a few LGMouth in low light conditions back in the 80's. But I dought you could find glow floaters or glow sand worms these days.. Capt Mike

you have to look at prey items man, lmb don't really hunt anything that will glow , I think those lures are more to catch the fisherman rather than the fish .

I remember one of the first days I went fishing - with the intent to catch fish rather than ride a boat.
We were trying to catch pike, so we brought some glowing spoons. We tied them on when it got dark and really hammered the pike. I'm not sure if this was because of the glowing lure, but we caught fish on them. |

What do you guys think about those laser lures? I heard Mike Iaconelli using them during tournies. Do they really work and draw a fish to the light?
