I was wondering which is a better prop for a trolling motor in shallow water? I have a two blade prop for mine but was wondering would a three blade prop be better for shallow water with weeds ?

The three blade will run a little shallower, but it's so little that I don't think it's worth changing the prop out. I've never been able to tell any difference in the weeds, except that the smaller blades on the 3 blade don't seem to sling off the grass as well.

i have a 3 blade hydrilla hacker. the prop is great, my problem is the thrust of my troller. it is only 56#. i need to upgrade to at least an 82#thrust. never too much power.

There was a metal prop that claimed good performance in weeds. OR
Two part epoxy a single edge razor to the motor to cut weeds.. Capt Mike

I ended up using a four blade prop I seem to have more control while trolling compared to the two blade

Not exactly what the thread is about, but concider this!
Be carefull that you do not put too big of a prop on a smaller # motor! It will cause the motor to over heat, blow circuit boards and drain your battery more quickly! Don't ask how I know!!!
