Default Big Bass

How confident would you be if you had a 13.2 pound bass in a tournament that the big bass pot would be yours? What if you had a 15.2? Both of those teams were probably pretty confident they had big bass wrapped up for the tournament Sunday on Choke Canyon.

They were wrong. It took 15.56 to win big bass on Choke Sunday, and more than 38 pounds to win it overall.

The story is HERE

Two 15 pound fish in a day and five since January from Choke Canyon.

***I had heard a rumor but wasn't going to post it until I confirmed it. I have now. I talked to TPW this morning. All of those fish were being held for a special breeding program that Texas Parks and Wildlife has call ShareLunker. They take big fish to the Athens fish hatchery and work on breeding larger fish. The fish above all died while they were awaiting arrival of the transport vehicle. Apparently they spent too much time in livewells and did not survive to be introduced into the breeding program.

its stinks that the fish died... we dont have that big of fish in SC but how would you feel if you brought in 30lbs in SC (thats a HUGE BAG) and you got fifth.... thats what happened on my Santee tournament on Saturday

my personal PB was 7lbs 12 ounces and it was the 6th biggest fish weighed for big fish (might of been another big one that didnt make the cut for the teams with the 8 and 9 lbers)
