I lost a fish today that was at least 5+ lbs. I made an errant cast along the bank of my boss' private pond and the lizard went over a thick branch. The fish nailed the lure and I couldn't get him over the branch and it wouldn't break. I saw half the fish out of the water but just couldn't get around to him.

sorry ya lost it f&g, but now you know where it is right? and you have another excuse to go back. funny how that works ain't it?
and yes..... i KNOW how it feels. lost the same fish TWICE, within a month of each almost catching it. and yes, i am going after it again this year. it is probably a 10 pounder or more by now. bigbassing144 and his dad kingfisher saw me lose it at the last get together. hahaha.
