First Tourney of 2009

After only catchin 2 lonely fish in my pre-fish I really didn't expect to catch much this weekend, but the weather warmed up a bit and the fish were biting a little better during the tournament. It was a 7 fish limit and I ended up in the middle of the pack with 21 lbs, the winner had 28 lbs

... I didn't catch one LGmouth all day, my entire bag was smallies...so I guess I can't complain about the weight, it would've been a whole lot better to have caught atleast one hawg, my biggest smallie weighed just under 4lbs and missed small mouth lunker by .10 of a pound...I was surprised to see about half of what I expected, only 25 boats had entered, 3 boats didn't catch fish and most of the weights were around 19-23 lbs...

This has been a big downfall for me, I can usually catch my limit but have difficulty finding that one big "kicker" fish that puts me near the top.. oh well, it's back on the water.....fish, fish, fish...

Good effort J-man.....I've fished that lake many times and you never know.....good luck on the next one.....

Wow! looks like you won the smallie division!!

Congrats on the heavy bag of small mouth, and the 2'nd place finish!

yeah those are some big and very consistent bags..... i wish we had some 7 fish tourneys..... good job tho
