This is more of a side note but if ya find yourself making your way through some tall grass or low hanging trees be sure to check yourself for ticks at the end of the trip . Found about ten on myself last night and another 2 in the car this afternoon .
Jim

Also, stay clear of poison ivy.... I got a really really really bad case of it last summer... Kept me inside for almost a week except for one fishing trip where I couldn't stand not fishing haha

It happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Found one digging into my cheek under my beard. Dirty little buggers.

Thanks for the tip. I would never have even thought to look.

A can of Insect Repellent that contains DEET has always worked for me, it keeps those nasty little chiggers away too.

Hey Jim, you and I are near ground zero for Lyme disease ticks. I live in Rhode Island, about a 1/2 hour from Lyme, CT.
Thanks for the reminder. You'd think I would check myself after pond fishing(today) considering I got Lyme once already! |

I always do! I've only ever found one on me though, not to many around here, yet any ways!
