Cast until you cannot cast anymore. I was at a family pond last night after working late. I probably only had 30 minutes to fish until it got too dark. My brother n law was fishing to. There was nothing biting and it got so dark we could not see where to cast. SO we started packing up, I only had one rod with me so i was casting as we were leaving. I had enough room for one cast before we got in an area where we could no longer fish. ANd bam something killed my bait and took off with my line. I ran down the hill picking up slack after setting the hook from a distance. I started reeling it in and it felt like a less than a pounder than all of a sudden, the rod dipped over and got real heavy. I could not see were the fish was, but i managed to land the fish on the land. We got a flash light to be able to remove the hook. It was cloase to a three pounder. It was nice. It is an experience fishing in the dark with no light. You can not see anything, it is all about feel.
The moral of this story, is never stop casting until you no longer can.
