tru tungsten swim bait

I have tried alot of swimbaits and I really like the TT Tru Life 4 inch the best. It runs really true and cast great. Changing the depth by swapping out the tungsten balls is a huge advantage to others that are on the market.

Can the 4" be fished on normal tackle. I have a Castaway 6'6" with an application out for work. Everyone has been talking about them so much, but I just can't seem to try to the technique yet. But I am about to break I feel.

I've got the spro 4", slow sinker and floater! My friend got the TT, and I out fish him with it, not my much, but I do! The TT dose cast a little bit further though!

I use mine on a mh 7' fast action rod. You don't need anything special for these swimbaits!

They catch a lot of fish too, and they I've not yet got a dink on it, nothing under a 1.5lbs!

I was watching the videos on Tru-tungstons website the other nite......that little bait swims thru the water quite well, and I like the weight system concept.....I just don't like the price.

I bought one this spring and I really like how the lure works. It has a beautiful enticing swim motion and casts very easily. I've used both a 6 1/2 and 7 foot rod in MH action for the TT 4inch swimbait, and both worked well. I think my ideal would be a 7foot MH rod with 17 pound line, maybe 20. I know that might sound a bit heavy on the line, but it's a heavy bait for a 4 inch hardbait, plus I want a heavy enough line to pull it free should it get snagged below. It's too expensive to risk loosing.

k guys summed it down to strike king sexy swimmer,spro bbz1 shad swimbait ,or tru tungsten tru life swimbait which one do you think is better for the money.

This is what the Tru Tungsten 4" swimbait will land you. I got the slow and fast sinker from tacklewarehouse last time they were on sale and picked up another 4 cause the bait monkey smacked me hard upside the head and forced me to.

I think the finish on spro is a little better, and i seem to actually get more solid hookups with the single hook spro as opposed to the double trebels on the tru-tungsten, which seem to hook the side of the head and put out a few eyes. I think it pretty much comes down to personal preference though.

I always thought the Spro looked better. Although the TT is two baits in one, kind of hard to beat.

Id still give the nod to the Spro slow sinker though.

For all on here that don't have shad, but rather blue backs or shiners, for me the sebile still gets the nod, it has that slim profile.

im thinkin about getting the spro bbz1 and the tt cuz im headin to basspro on friday and there having some blowout sale on all the fishing stuff and the tt is going to be like 15 bucks and the spro is on sale at tackle warehouse too i think its like 15dollars

The reason I went with the TruTungstin is because Spro does not offer anythhing close to a bluegill or baby bass pattern. And in my lakes, those types of patterns work much better than the various shad patterns.

I have both and have caught more on the BBZ than the TT. I would say that both are very similar in design and action. I personally prefer the BBZ slow sinker because I can make it come up and wake better than the TT even on slow sink.
