Thumbs up I've got a fun week ahead for me - I'll keep you posted -

Hey guys! I got some a great week ahead! I get off school Wednesday, but any ways.

My neighbors grand kids are down from bama for the week, and they wanna go fishing! Our neighbor - there grandma - wanted to take them off shore fishing (we take a charter out it takes about 30 other people out on the boat), so she wanted to know if me, my bros, and dad wanted to come too, her treat! We said we'd live to go! So tomorrow we going to the docks!

After hearing that, we had to go to gander to get some more salt water stuff, some more jigs, heavy Flouro leader, weir, hooks, swivels, etc! Did a little monkey feeding, SALT WATER STYLE! And of course I could not go to gander with out getting some bass stuff right, I picked up a few soft plastic swimbaits, and they also had some storm wild eye swimbaits in the bargain bin for 1.95, they only had the 4" ones, I got those!

After we got home me and my dad started tying on leaders and what not! So while we where at it, we thought we'd invite them ever to watch, and to show them what we where gonna be doing, along with some tips. Well after we where done with that, they mentioned that they wanted to go bass fishing too! I wonder what I'll do next? I showed them my tackle bag, they loved it! I showed them the basics of bass fishing, knots, line, lures, water clarity, color, and so on! The older of the the two (one 13, one 10) really seem interested! He seemed to know a bit from reading field and steam mag!

Then, I showed him this here forum! I showed him the pics in my album, and some of the pics in ya'lls albums! He was impressed my some of the bass that we've caught!

When we where done over our our house, talking and what not, we went over the there's! Showed us his tackle: Some little crank baits, one spinnerbait, one buzzbait, a few worms, and lizards, nothing that extensive! Than he showed me his rods, just little zebco spin casting reels. Than the told me to wait there a sec, I did, than the ran in side from the yard, and brought in a BIG 9' surf rod that they found in there grandma's attic this morning, they where trying to get it fixed up and casting, they had had a little 1/32 oz split shot on there, trying to cast it, so I ran over to my house and got a 4oz sinker, tied it on (after tightening the the line on the spool) set it back a few feet behind me, and chucked the thing till it spools, well the last guy to spool this reel didn't tie the line to the spool, so the line - and sinker - go flying 300' + away! Well! That was fun! So I brought my Bait casts to show him (note to self: Remember to get the pole at there house, in the morning, forgot it).

Well that's my day in a nut shell! I'll post pics tomorrow, pf the fish we catch on the boat, so check on this thread every now and than.

We're probably gonna take them bass fishing Thursday.

Well thought I'd share!
