Not around St. Louis, but down here some good catfishing. Only thing I fish for in the Mississippi. Around dikes and such with live bait like shad and a big rod and reel. I hear that right before where the Missouri reaches the Mississippi is some of the best.

Well do you guys suppose I could get some bass by fishing around wingdams on the river from the bank or by fishing around bridges. I guess it would be good to use big baits because of the water clarity.

So you caught some bass on the Missi. on small spinnerbaits. I asked around and people said the fishing is better in the backwaters. I heard there are a lot of white bass under the bridges

Well we usually fish a lot of small spinnerbaits and jigs and usually catch around 20-30 bass each time we go... mostly on the spinnerbaits... we fish the coves ... best time is around october though
