Texas riggin a worm, for say a 6 to 7.5" worm, im using a 3/0 offset shank Gamakatsu or Owner Z Bend. Sometimes for a different presentation, i use a 2/0 or 3/0 Owner straight shank worm hook. just sits a little better on the worm sometimes. I usually dont use EWG's or Fat Gaps on worms because they're kinda short.
For wacky rigging, i use a Diachii 1/0 or 2/0 Bleeding Bait series C&R circle wacky hook. yeah, long name. they seem to work pretty good. That or like a Gamakatsu octopus hook. |

Like 37 said it depends on the size worm. I usually use long 10-12 in. worms rigged with a 4/0 Gamakatsu. On shorter 7in. worms I use a 2/0 or 3/0 Gamakatsu.

all my hooks are eagle claw, owner, or gammies, all between 1/o and 4/o. for worms i use r-bend or ewg hooks.i use 1/o or 2/o hooks for the wacky rig. i use the same types of hooks for wacky as i do worms. they are either r-bend, or ewg....i dont like changing my bait anymore then i have to, and since i shore fish i only bring one rod, so it makes sence to just use the same hook i have on for the worm.

I prefer a 2/0 or 3/0, depending on the size worm!
