As my LgMouth fishing winds down and my monster cat seasons starts up I wish to make an interesting observation. Last night white perch invaded the backwaters and the LGMouth have been all over them. Saw a LGMouth with a white perch stuck in his mouth and he was just about dead. They try to swallow these spikey fish and often get them wedged in there throat. This one that was on death throws was not able to be saved. I scooped him up and removed the small white perch but the spikes had piered his gills and head so bad he most likley will be turtle food.
8 years ago I scooped up a 28 inch striper with the same issue. White perch suicide. Interesting ain't it. Capt Mike
