Best Christmas Present!

I've been very excited about this and have told pretty much everyone in my family. And since you guys are like family, here it goes.

With the economy, this has been a tough year and a Christmas with less presents, but more time spent with my family.

But I'd have to say one of my best presents (it isn't really a present, but it felt like one) was the letter I received in the mail from the University of Toledo. About a month ago, I was accepted into the pre-pharmacy program there. And on Christmas Eve day I received the letter informing me of the $8,000 scholarship I got (that can be renewable for up to 4 years!)!

This is going to help me a lot, since it will cover half my tuition each year it is renewed!

(I have a golfing buddy who is a rep for a pharm. company, and you should see the looks on people's faces when we're out on the course, and the 3-4 guys who join us ask what we do for a living, and he tells them straight-faced, "I'm a drug dealer.")

And remember me and the rest of us here when you start making all that money after graduation,lol. Seriously though, congrats pal. I know that you will make a great pharmacist.

You know, I can already picture you wearing one of those white pharmacist lab coats; filling peoples prescriptions and giving them your best reviews on rods and reels.

Thanks everybody! I'm really excited to start school next fall, even though it's gonna be tough and a lot of work. My first year consists of 2 biology classes, 2 chemistry classes, 2 calculus classes, and 2 english classes.

Congrats dude......My sister-n-law is a pharmasist and that seems to be a good career, so I wish you all the best.....My youngest daughter just started beauty college last week and I couldn't be prouder of her...she's a natural at it and should go far.....I pray that the new year brings good things to you both.

Congrats man, pharmacy is a great career choice. Stable, and very good pay. A friend of mine who lived right across my back yard is just finishing the pharmacy program at Rutgers, and he loves it. Best of Luck
