So today I went to Cabela's in Hamburg PA to pick up a few storage boxes, and then i came home and reorganized all my fishing lures and tackle for probably the 17th time this winter.
Am I okay? Do I need help? Or am I going insane... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There with you. I have played with my tackle every weekend because no matter how nice the week, the weekend turns off cold & windy.

Cold and windy isn't an excuse to not not go fishing. However, 8" of ice is. Reorganized once this winter. in the process of doing it again though.

Well what about small craft advisory's, there are literally whirlpools on the river where I would like to go right now because the TVA thinks it's necesarry to have all 7 Floodgates open 14'. It's very frustrating, especially when they are not generating any units.

Welcome to the forum, chopsticktown!
Are you OK? Depends on where you are standing. If you are hanging around here-well, we ARE a bunch of bass addicts and tackle junkies so I would say you are fine. Out with the rest of the world? Probably not but then who cares ![]() ![]()

I'm right there with you. The wife got me a new tackle bag and I'm picking up a second. I used to keep most of my stuff in one large hard body suitcase size box, but now I'm reorganizing everything into two smaller bags with the boxes. I think my wife will appreciate when I'm done and the banquet table I've had my spread layed out on downstairs gets folded back up and put away.

I bought some 3600 size boxes a couple weeks ago and have be trying to downsize for a tx on the Potomac this spring. I won't be taking my boat so I have to get down to 6 - 7 rods and one tackle bag. It's not easy to do when you're used to being on your own boat with all your tackle and gear available to you. I think downsizing the lure bag is easier than cutting the number of rods available to take on the boat. I will most likely be taking additional rods then a final selection after I get down there and see what would be most advantageous to have on the boat and be able to change out rods as conditions dictate. Same thinking for plastics and hard baits, I'll have the basics in the boat bag, but another tackle bag will be along if I need to change colors, sizes, etc. I'm much happier in my own boat, and not accustomed to being on the back of someone else's.

Spoken by a man who has a Dad to drive the boat and try to keep it on the same spot.

No you are NOT okay, you need to pack all of your rods and reels and tackle in multi boxes. After you have them all packed nicely so that nothing gets damaged, send them to me. I will give them a PROPER home. HEHEHEHEHEHE!

Too bad he never uses the trolling motor. lol. That's always me. But I guess it's not his fault, using it bothers his feet. Still not an excuse, lol. BB
