Move towards the dark side

Well, away from Shimano. I saw some reels on sale last weekend at Gander Mt. and went back to get a Steez for $299. They were sold out so I got a TD Zillion instead for very cheap, relatively speaking. I prefer so much going to the store, I ordered a rod last Wednesday and it isn't scheduled to arrive until next Monday, it's killing me.

On top of that it is a lefty, or right hand reel. I have a Scorpion and Curado that way but all others are normal. I can't wait to try it out.
They have 3 more left, I wish I could test it to see if I need another. I have never seen them so cheap before but I have not paid much attention to Daiwas.

Bender how much were the zillions? I may have to check the local gander and see if they have any good sales on daiwas.

BB, $187.48 marked down from $299 and $249. Right at $202.50 with our lovely 8% tax in NY. I had planned on trying to sell this and make a little cash, but it is really nice so I think I'll keep it. The cheapest I saw the Steez online was $365, so my plan was to sell that too but somebody beat me to it. I've never seen them for under $300 before.

I don't know much about the Zillion but it seems to be very well built and smooth.

Not a bad deal on the Zillion. It's a great reel, use it a couple times and you'll love it. I've missed a couple chances to get the 50th anniversary ($300) for about $150. DOH!
