Default Bad luck

hey kinda new to site, been reading. have a trip set for toledo bend next week, so took boat out today to make sure everything working okay, caught 7 bass, 14" was the only big one. got home and found out one of the trailer bearings is bad, and the hub broke. picked up new hub and hope to have everything fixed tomorrow. hope not to find anything else. the fish should be pre-spawn by the time i get there, if the weather holds up.

Thankfully you got home and found it rather than have it it fail and the wheel come off or break loose when going down the road!

Welcome to the Forum.

The tire did not come off and cause a wreck, a major plus. I have had that happen twice, on an old scout and both times the good LORD took care of me and my family.

A man, my Father n law worked with for 30 some odd years was killed by a tire coming off another vehicle a few years ago and went through his windshield on him. So, be thankful, and enjoy the site.

I had a bearing issue last week, completely ground the inner bearing into non-recognizable form. Luckily the outer bearing and the nut held the wheel on. Ruined a replaced the axle, 239 bucks, but Im now ready to roll. Gotta take bearings seriously, they can be easy to put off, but it costs more in the long run.

I just bought a grease gun and some green grease yesterday. Gonna lube my own bearings from now on, for the peace of mind. And I can do it more often this way too.
