Mo, for the black scuff marks spray them with Lysol. Takes them right off. works great on a kitchen floor, too!

You can use a special boat wash and may need some real power if the boat is docked or moored in the water a whole season. Otherwise, almost any car wash soap will work well.
You can even use a dish washing soap like Dawn. I like using my power washer.
When finished, for plastic (and fiberglass) apply 303 Aerospace Protectant (not on places you step). This spray on, wipe off provides amazing UV protection and yields a nice sheen.

I use a product called "Bass Boat Saver" that works real well for general cleaning and protection. All of Meguiar's stuff is great too.

For the black scuff marks, the Magic Eraser works like a champ!

I second the majic eraser.Since I have a white boat white deck-think salt water boat-

The best cleaner for non gel coated surfaces I have found is a product called Ezzy-clean.For all NON gel coat surfaces this stuff rules.

I was looking for something to remove the green funk out of my live well, when I found this..I was given the first bottle..Spray it on full strenth wash or wipe it off.

You all know me well enough I don't recomend crap. Heres a link.
Word of note your wife uses this one time you'll need to buy more...

Yep, simple green is a great APC. I also endorse the Magic Eraser for some stuff.

I've been recommended BBS by a lot of others who love that product. I've also heard good things about Bow To Stern that can be used for general boat cleaning. I've got a few scuff marks on my boat I'd like to take care of, I'll have to try the magic eraser.

I will have to check with the local Ace Hardware, there is a boat cleaner stuff they have that once the local boat owners caught wind of it and word spread how well it worked, Ace had to start placing orders that could fill up a medium Uhaul truck.
