It's probably a good thing you don't have your boat with you, then. I grew up in Vicksburg, and I've seen undertows and currents that would suck your boat under like a twig. A friend of mine took me and my brother out striper fishing on the river in his big 21ft Crownline once. We went by a breakwater on plane, going probably 30-35 mph. The undertow sucked us down off plane in about 3 seconds. If that had been your boat, they might've pulled out of the river in New Orleans...

By the way, whatcha doin' in Mississippi?

Visiting old houses, battlefields, bars, rivers, ect. Going up to vicksburg today, then later in the week going back to new orleans.
